2009 US Open Snowkite Masters

Also known as a Freeride Rally and more predominantly called the Snowkite Masters... and as of the last couple years it’s evolved into the US Open Nationals for Kiter -Cross.

That’s right, the biggest party of the year (meaning lots of like minded friends gathered together to celebrate a common cause)... will go down at Skyline February 27-March 1st. That’s the last Friday of this month!

One can find the basic details here.... http://www.SnowkiteMasters.com But for the real deal, you'll have to ask a snowkiter that has experienced an SKM and shared in the positive vibe that grows from these core industry events.

In general, it’s a Freeride and every one is invited to participate in any way they choose.... at no cost. Ride with some of the countries (and worlds) leading kiters, watch from the side lines, or just join in the revelry and debauchery that can often erupt when kiters converge. Invite your friends to attend the intro to kiting clinics, while you get involved in some of the more advanced topics that will be covered. Or just come to party at the 'smoke-free' Triangle Lounge with special guest DJ Ollie G, as he kicks out some of the hottest wind inspired sounds.

For those seeking fame and fortune... then entering the Kiter Cross races is your way. The first 40 Registrants will receive a Heli Pro pack from Dakine along with an SKM Hoody (a $100 value). Simply fill out the registration form online and submit your $50 entry fee and you will be eligible to race Friday & Saturday. The money goes into a cash purse for the race winners...along with other fabulous prizes.

This year the Skyline Snowkite Masters has grown in many ways, and we are happy to announce that many more supporting brands will be on hand to share their stoke for Snowkiting. In addition to the love we have felt from Dakine, Pistil, Ozone, Ska & Zeal Optics, we will have even more energy from Rossignol, Mystic, Flysurfer, HQ, Best and Rhodes Rolls (hot n fresh cinnamon rolls before the races, yeah!)

For the photographers out there, get involved and be a part of the action. Saturday we'll present a prize for the best photo from the weekend. Kiters are encouraged to team up with the lens and bust-o-move.

Hope to see you all there to enjoy the fresh snow that continues to fall at Skyline, Utah!

It's time to gear up the the '09 SKM. Super sick sliders. Rumors of a snow cat on hand! Snow Mobiles and endless terrain.

If you made it the SKSoldiers, this spot is the next level! Steeps, Gliding, pow pow and SKA BREWING BEER! Minus the wild wolf and albino Fox of Idaho, this place rivals Idaho in a major way.

Now if only someone could get Chris and Ione from Soldier Mt. Brewing Company there for some chicken philly cheeze steaks, Buzzz Saw and Foosse Ball the playing field would be even!

Hope to see a strong Oregon Posse up there! Oregon dominated SKS.

ghyeah

btw. RICCO AND SWAVVEY ARE ALREADY THERE
