Hmmm, I don't know hollywood. There were three main spots with the best breaks or access in Ventura back when I lived there, the point, c street, and rivermouth.
I just realized I left Ventura to move to Puerto Rico almost 30 years ago! Fuck I'm old. I'm surprised I can still type....
Where's the glue-factory emoticon for when you realize how damn old you are?
I guess this one will have to do....

So when you were in Puerto Rico was there any wind to kite
around Rincon?

I lived at Barrio Jobos in Isabela, which is an outstanding surf spot BTW. Rincon was about 30 or so miles away to the SW.
If I remember right, the wind was best in the fall/winter, but it was more associated with storm systems than daily heating. That was a long time ago tho, and I wasn't paying much attention to wind then (unless it was light offshore!).
You'd probably do best to look at the iKiteSurf history for PR spots.

I was in Isabella during my pre-kite years and was surfing some sick waves....
i did see kites out though, just not too often.
