Was driving back from The Dalles & saw the wind riipin across the river. I was hoping someone would take advantage of it. Good for you.

Today was a good day. We spent some time chaising it - but finally ended up at the ponds. It was cold and it started to rain on us, but it just felt good to be out on my board!!
First ride of the season - this was also my first time trying out a skim - totally addicting!!! I need to get one for next season.
also, I just got the excel 5/4 drylock wetsuit. Totally toasty - I was sweating inside my suit - I had to dip in the water to cool down. I was warm enough to try out Chanson's skim for the first time where I spent more time eating than riding.
Good seeing familiar faces.
The season is on!!! Can't wait to ride again - when are we going next?

What was it at the ponds, Southerlies? How's the wind from that direction there?

Yes it was at the ponds - it was coming from a mostly north direction. I was having a hard time staying upwind - I couldn't tell what the current was doing and there were a lot of wholes.

It was pretty light - I was struggling to stay up wind on an 11.
