Hey all, so I bent one of my struts trying to get around in PDX this weekend(**** that, never again) and I was hoping someone on here would have Andy's contact info, can't seem to find him on the web. Thanks!

No problemo

I used to live in White Salmon, now Portland and I still take my car to Andy.
215k and still going...

I hit a manhole iceberg myself on Burnside near Powells yesterday.
I too will have to check my strut for damage....

What are your symptoms of the " chunked strut".

I happened to locate an iceberg also.

If you need struts; Get some KYBs. Much better than the stockers and not expensive either. Horsepowerfreaks.com (Portland based company) should be able to get them. Tell them Hein at Impact Inc sent you and always ask for a discount. Piece-of-cake to put on if you know how to use a spring compressor and maintain your alignment. Subaru routes the brake line through an eye on the strut on some models which is kind of stupid since then you need to bleed the brakes too. Probably good to get an alignment if you hit or bent something.

I hear that Andy's shop is under 4 feet of snow and he's not too motivated to shovel it right now.

Some friends of mine just bought the Texaco station in Bingen on 14 at the turn up to WS. One of the owners is a kiter.

They have a full service shop and its right next to NAPA so parts are quick. Ask for Jesse, he is one of the owners and is very experienced with subarus. He has been working on my cars for two years now. The shop number is 509-493-4589.

Thanks for the responses. So upon closer inspection it looks like I might have frame damage as well... WTF!? It's going to D & S frame and body in HR now, I wonder what the insurance company will have to say about this.

When you call the insurance company, ask to speak to a lesbian.....

I recommend the Texaco in Bingen. I've had some work done there and Jesse is fair, honest and does a great job. He is a fan of Subarus.. and possibly lesbians.
