I used to windsurf there quite a bit years ago during summers. Worked best with a northwest wind and high outgoing tide. Kick in the ass with long reaches. There's a bunch of oyster beds (at least there used to be) with poles sticking out of the water so if you are jumping, you have to pay attention where you land.
If you stay out until the tide flushes out, it can be a bit of a walk back to the launch through the mud. |

| Launched off Bay Ocean once on the bay side. Pretty much like the previous post described. I would only go back if Netarts was nuked out. |

| thanks for the info about kiting on Cape Mears Lake. Every time I've looked at Netarts, it looks like the tide was way out. Where do you land and launch in Netarts? Thanks - Dano |

schooner beach but there is not much of it at high tide, it is the road behind the marina/boat ramp. time your sesh about an hour before low or high slack tide. epic planet of the apes behind the spit on northerlies. either bonk or watch out for all the little crab boats and don't put your kite down when the tide starts goin out |
