Kiteboarding 4 Cancer Day in the PEARL w/CHAP

YES, that's right! We're bringing kiteboarding to the city! This Saturday, December 20th, Kiteboarding 4 Cancer is hosting a day at the Children's Healing Art Project studio in Portland's Pearl District. This is a wonderful invitation by CHAP, who has set aside holiday Saturdays for companies like Columbia Sportswear and Nike to come "volunteer host" their 10,000 square foot art-making studio and... KITEBOARDING 4 CANCER was specially invited to host the Saturday before Christmas!

John Doyle's BLING Art Kiteboard will be on display as well as a new kiteboard for the making to be auctioned off at the 2009 Kiteboarding 4 Cancer! Come bring the kids for a day of painting, decorating, getting messy, getting some xmas presents, and doing it all for a good cause.

DIG IN YOUR GARAGE & BRING SOME BOARDS!

Bring your old kiteboards & surfboards to donate to the kids' art project! The boards will be available to paint, sequin, bead, and decorate on Saturday and a couple lucky boards will be auctioned off for net year's Kiteboarding 4 Cancer event!

If you can't make Saturday's event, let me know and I'll have the boards picked up.

Last year's board went for $1500 at the KB4C Live Auction!

joined up with portland pete and braved the weather. had a great time with the kids. thanks to garret and tonia. if you missed it you should get out to visit CHAP this week. frank and his group will take care of you. it is all for a wonderful cause. happy holidays!

Thank you guys for coming! Isn't Frank a character? Unfortunately, Gregg & I were grounded in the Gorge -- the driving snow, winds and ice were threatening everything shutting down in the afternoon (including I-84), so we opted to stay in the Gorge.
