Looks a little too westerly today, I think tomorrow will be good though.

I also could be totally wrong on both counts. Very Happy

Phil,

Nice Avatar... Hey, if you want the high resolution shots...throw a cd into your car, I'll keep the laptop handy, and burn you copies when I see you next at the beach... Too big to easily e-mail...

Oh, got out today at Stevenson in phsycho wind. Rode my 10m on 17m lines and kite looped myself silly and rather sore. Damn kite moves fast and stings hard on short lines.

Jon

PS: Get a kick that Mark's is one of mine also... My plan is to get all NWKite Avatars MINE!!!

Hey BB,

Wow, that photo was taken quite some time ago... I remember that day as you were one of the only guys out just upwind of the Sandbar. Lots of clouds on a very ominous dark early spring day...

Cool, one more in the bag baby...

Jon

Got 2 hours in Thumb's Up
It was gusty and would switch to the west every once in a while....

Special thanks to Trever (sp?) and Dustin for helping to clean the beach at the end of the day.

Monday sucked at Sauvie's there was a few degrees of west, and wind shadow from sea wall/trees, made diagonal stripes across the water over to the Washington side. Couple guys were out, I tried a few times but was not that much fun.

Thanks Trev for an honest report! Thumb's Up

Helps to validate my decision to relocate the yard shed instead of going to SI yesterday.

The question of the moment is: What’s it gona do today?

Looks like the wind is trying to push through & pick up. I’m thinking it will go later.

What about ya’ll??

Not calling you a liar or a GWB (oh wait, isn't that the same thing?? Wink ).

Just interesting that two guys riding at the same time can have such different reports on wind conditions.

Seems to me that justifying ones time & drive to SI comes into play when reporting conditions.

Another factor is what type of riding & conditions each individual prefers. One person might be perfectly happy charging up-wind to ride the butter off of Collins Beach while another rider trying to jump & pull kite loops in front of the launching/landing area is frustrated with inconsistent and off-shore wind.

Not saying that I don’t filter my reports, because I'm sure I do at some level. I know my personal preferences, mood, energy level, run-ins with fishermen/throttle heads, binding wearers, etc. effects my view/report of the session.

OK, psychology ranting session over (for now). See ya out there ASAP.. ~D
