I thought Gary Lindon was 49 years old. Lance K, my buddy Ben Moon was out there too along with you and Richard. Great shots, good swell.

Take care,
Lance

sorry I missed watching that event
but
I can't stand no wind big wave days Surprised
and watching others Very Happy
makes me want to troll around for sharks myself (surf)
but I'm a lousy swimmer (wimpy)
and need some
"assited living" (kite)

Glad I'm getting my honey do's done for another year
(rebuilding offshore fish boat).

Nice to see the great exposure for the typical Oregon surf
so much more relate-able when someone is riding it.
Most never see this type of riding
It would be interesting to see this as an open event
many local riders would be competitive I believe
but the windows are so small
and without big names no one would come

Your math is correct sir:

"My experience there finally paid off in 2004, when at 54 years old, I caught 50-foot on the face wave and was runner-up finalist for the Billabong XXL biggest paddle-in wave of the year."

Whoaa this guy rock - so maybe I can surf big waves when I grow up Laughing
