Its wasn't good...Avg 11 and gusty. Not worth pumping up my big kite in that cold rain for crap wind. But had to check. My thanksgiving dinner was only a few miles away. Of course Wed. was good but I was stuck at work. The wind gods hate me!! 3 months of getting shafted!!!
Reporting no wind for today too. But there is 13ft swell Going to go get beat up surfing Westport |

Fog....? I think that means no wind!!! |
That is not always the case. I've done some creepy downwinders in heavy fog from Lot B to Sunset a few years back (the year the helicopter went down by the south jetty in the ocean) with Slither. It was silent and pretty scary actually. Every once in a while I would see Slither silhouette just down wind of me. Fog horn would of been the Shizzle. If the wind direction had changed I really wouldn't of had any type of bearing. . .the break was the only real bearing to draw position from.
Also had some cool fog roll-in on a downwind at Manzo this year with Genek and Gman in mid July. http://www.nwkite.com/forums/t-9454-0-asc-34.html (check out the photo on page 3 gman posted) |

| Agree, my last two times at Newport have been so foggy I couldn't see any other kiters. They were there tho, you could see them at about 50'. I was on an 11m c both times. |
