board hardware?

i just got a board (maui extreme sports) and this is the first board i own thats not a "d.i.y."

so my question is about the hardware and the inserts,....the inserts are plastic and smaller than the 1/4" inserts on my d.i.y. board

do i need to find special bolts for the plastic inserts or will a trip to the ol' hardware store for metal bolts ok?

never heard of plastic nuts and bolts but be careful when tighting ,keep them fairly tight and check each time you ride ,be my guess

wow it looks like a great downwind wave rider ,might be a little hard to stay to windward though ,with all the rounded edges
