I have a few questions... I have been riding in the Gorge for 2 summers and am still a beginner. I've only ridden here, never on waves or in the ocean. I have a LF Mission 144 that I'm pretty comfortable with. I'm headed down to Baja for a month this winter (Dec 15-Jan5).
1) Should I bring a surfboard/ single tip down there?
2) Will the Mission work well in the surf, or is that not what its for?
3) Are there many waves in LB/ La Ventana, or do you need to go to the Pacific side for that?
Any info about twin/ one tip boards and their different uses would be appreciated. If I should get one, any recommendations?
Cheers- _________________ JHB |

Los Barrilles
has some large swell
not much wind on the pacific side until north of La Paz
Conejo has some on shore wind and peeling surf
LV is pretty choppy
but lots ride directionals
pretty much whatever you like will work |

I've only sailed La Ventana usually you can always find small fun waves but you might get lucky - we had a nice overhead day last Xmas time.
Los Barriles is less protected and picks up better swell - so wrangle up a surfboard if you can - can be really good. _________________ Go Deep!
