Windzup, Montana Sports and others have coordinating their events this year. Great news for folks looking for a great snowkiting road trip. If you haven't been to any of these events, they are so much fun. Every year the turnout, vibe, wind/snow has proven to be worthy and then some.
Feb 14-16th MSR
Feb 21-22nd Snowkite Soldiers
Feb 26-1st SKM

My advice from cruising around to a couple events last year is to plan trips based on weather forecasts not events. We were in Montana, Idaho, Utah for 1.5 weeks and only got 4 days of snowkiting in because unfortunately the wind doesn't always follow every event. _________________ The Slider Project, LLC

Learned from that as well, i'm thinking of organizing another SNOWDAZE event, but not to sure how to get around the planned date(permits) vs. forecasted wind. I was thinking of the way nelscott reef was put on...might work for winter storms/winds as well.
I am planning a few snowkiting expeditions this winter, Crater lake, and Mt. Shasta, also might do another "kitecamp" in the spring. Last year was a lot of fun and hopefully we can get more of you folks to come down and get some. _________________ I stretch my wings and pull the strings |

This slider is awesome, hay bales, little bit of snow to hold it all in place.
