Embarassed I'm a dumbass and this happened:

as you can see, it blew right along the original seam
Can this be fixed with an impulse sealer?
What should I do to fix this right up?

Best way to fix it is to use a heat sealer, I have used heat sealer to fix many of those type of tears without any issues. I used one of those food saver heat sealer years ago before I bought a professional heat sealer. I once fixed a bladder using a butter knife and a lighter (you fold both layers of bladder around a butter knife and get it near the flame to melt both sides of bladder together) when I was vacationing in Maui and my bladder blew (be careful with this method, you could melt a big hole).

I've also used an iron for the method Sonny described. Seemed to work ok.

If you have a vacuum sealer for food, you can repair the bladder with that. If you don't have one, come on over and use mine. Hit me up Tonight or tomorrow, I'll be out of town for a week starting Thursday.

I've repaired several bladders with an iron, usually while on vacation. Just sandwich the bladder between two sheets of paper or wax paper. Before I do this, I clean the bladder with alcohol. Make sure that the iron is empty of water to prevent steam from affecting the seal. Let the bladder cool down before disturbing the new seal. If it doesn't work the first time, turn up the heat.

I wonder how a food saver would work on that?
