Wife's Thorn got away from her on Saturday near Dougs and a fisherman picked it up near Cascade Locks on Sunday. He wouldn't let me give him $$ or gift cert. etc. Said he was "Paying it Forward". very cool..

amazing that it traveled the whole way without getting wedged in some tree or rocks.

my wife also lost her labrat in tampa bay and we found it next day when we took out the boat looking for it. It was 5 miles downwind caught in the mangrove roots!

Whoaa I vaguely remember that movie, weird brain fart. When I was a little grom I thought it was so cool how his boat went bombing across the snow into a stream. I always wanted to do that.

I can go one better, back in the day, ~2000, my 9.5 AR 5 got away from me one windy day at RB. It was a south wind & I was fairly sure it would end up at Whidbey...

6 months later I get a phone call saying “we found your parachute in Cultus bay buried in the tide flats”.

Ok I think….

The kite was gone for over 6 months however it remained at a constant temp ~50 F and remained wet in the sound (salt water) the entire time.

I picked the kite up and the only damage was the broken leash!

NO rips, tears etc. or knots in the lines!!!

2 weeks later I ran the kite in the Blow Out and sold it the next day for $500

True story!

				| Snatched up just before certain death at the dam - very nice. Could a board get into the turbines? - I wouldn't think so.
