Join CGWA at the Hatchery and Doug’s beach for their annual cleaning. We’ll drink coffee, get dirty, and – just maybe – get a great group session on the water post-clean up. Here are the dirty details:
Doug’s Beach Clean Up
Slingshot swag giveaway for the volunteers
October 11th, 9-12
Hatchery Clean Up
Dakine swag giveaway for the volunteers
October 18th, 9-12
Bring: Your self and a friend, a good attitude, and gloves if you have any. Oh, and your windsurfing gear (just in case!).
Other awesome clean ups:
· The Ocean Conservancy hosts an annual and international beach clean up. In 2007, over 378,000 volunteers world wide removed more than 6,000,000 pounds of debris from over 33,000 miles of shoreline.
· The American Littoral Society hosts an annual beach clean up in New York State. In 2007, 9,339 volunteers cleaned and documented 142,243 pounds of debris along 677 miles of shoreline.

sounds good. Cleanups are a great way of giving back. Just wondering, Why is a Kiteboard company sponsering a windsurf clean up?

Part of the plan of global domination
Step 1 - Clean beach
Step 2 - Make peace with righteous windsurfers
Step 3 - Something with exchanging glass beads

I guess because no other windsurfing company's stepped up.
Or
Because Brave Dave is going to be leading the charge. He's a windsurfer a heart and he works for us.

Awesome post Shy,
Maybe if we get our winch built we can go out to Sauvie, light a huge bon-fire and clean up trash and wake skate in the CSO.

Can't you just auger it in the sand with a big spike?
