hey i was wondering what type of grease or lube i should to grease up my kite pump?

Aerosol Silicon Spray. I destroyed many pumps until I started maintaining them with spray. Available at any hardware store.

I had one that was toast. Took it entirely apart, cleaned it inside and out with soapy warm water (amazed at all the sand in there) then re-assemble with lots of silicon spray. Like new.

All wrong.

You want something that doesn't cause sand or dust to stick to the post

- dry graphite lubricant

Air tool oil. Light weight oil and just a couple of drops will do it. If you are getting sand sticking to the pump stem then you have used way, way too much. Dry lube does not work as well Gman...
