I don't know the date on this painting, but I would guess it's a ripoff (inspired by) of the scene in "Fellowship of The Ring" where the Ring Wraiths are swept away by the river...

Thanks Garret for buying me the The Last Unicorn movie...the 25th anniversary edition, no doubt. I won't name names, but someones ejection from a skim board left him a bum ankle and with no wind in the gorge this makes for the perfect Tuesday morning movie.
