Gorge Games: 24 Hour Photo Race

Two summers ago, ION sponsored an event that put many Gorge photographers and kiteboarders pitted against each other for a day to see who could come up with the best images. It was my first summer with a camera and we all had a great time with it.
This week, the contest will continue, but with many different sponsors. it is a Gorge Games sponsored event. The event is Saturday only and I plan to shoot in Hood River Event Site in the afternoon. This will absolutely not affect your participation of the Gorge Games if you're worried about the conflict.

Here's the skinny...
Assemble a team for a day long photo shoot to capture the spirit of Gorge Games sports- Amateur and professional photographers will go head to head. Teams must keep in mind who will be determining the winner because the judges are the spectators at the slideshow Saturday night! The team that WOW’s the crowd is sure to win First Place $1,500, Second $500.

Photographers have 24 hours to assemble their 10 best images of the Gorge Games. Photographers start on Friday at 6pm and have a 6pm deadline on Saturday. One hour after photos are turned in, at 7pm, the public is invited to a Slideshow and will vote for the winning teams- $2,000 in Cash & Prizes to be awarded. Athlete Village Campgrounds Main Tent.

I think today is the last day to register for the contest? I'm looking for a few kiters to shoot (must be willing to pimp Full Throttle and Taco Del Mar), so PM me if you want to ride for Team Railgrab. It's pretty much a no brainer. Either pay $35 for a standard pass OR $23 to get a full access pass, your photos taken, a t-shirt, and more! Maybe we can get a bunch of kiting teams together and monopolize the photo show!
