I assume that's what you needed the MIG for..? Looks like mild steel, what are you going to do to prevent it from rusting? Spray paint?

Looks good though!

Yep, this is what we needed the MIG for. We're going to paint it with primer and do a yearly maintenance. Even with massive corrosion it will last 10 years.

Holy hell that's rad, can't wait to hit it up. I'm sure you've got it dialed but let me know if you need any help putting the rest of it together, building stuff is fun, especially when you get to shred it later.

I can't help but wonder though, what are the legal ramifications of this?

We'll be providing a way for everyone to contribute in the next few months. In the future though, we'd be stoked to have more people involved in the build. It's hard work and more hands make it easier.

We've worked with both the Port of Hood River and the CGKA to establish guidelines, rules, and a permanent location out of the way for the terrain park. We'll also have all the necessary permits shortly. It's all governed by The Slider Project, LLC who's governed by the CGKA Slider Coordinator.

Good deal. I'm sure you'd accept maintenace donations, right?

That's awesome that you have the Port's blessing AND an LLC in place. They're the only way to go in a sue-happy world.

EDIT: What's the next project gonna be? I vote either up-down-flat or a c-box!

looks good man!
FYI, I know it's a pain, but there is a guy here that would sand blast and paint it pretty cheap... he uses marine epoxy paint, and it lasts forever. He did our water ski jump back when I was a jumper.
