I wonder if something is goofed up with the ikite sensor...usually it matches up with the NOAA. Which has been looking perfect all morning. Remember these are the low (lull) readings. Usually there's a 10 mph spread so that means mid teens to mid twenties....

I think it's time to pack the cooler! (if you haven't already.) Razz

To get a good idea of the wind on the water at RR, go to the "Sensors" link at the top of any nwKite page. Click on the gorge. The gust factor at Corbett should be close.

What's the plan today? George says Easterlies should build for a while... I'm thinking Stevenson?

Don't let the high water at Rooster dissuade you! It's a chance to perfect your drift launches for that trip to the Keys!

Thumb's Up

I checked it out earlier, looks good.
Was probably blowing 20-25 when I left and coming up.
If you have a chance, go for it!
Whitecaps everywhere, except where the reeds are under the water.
Water level is really high, I couldn't even get out to the nudie beach (if there was one) because the place is a swamp.
This picture is from the dock looking back to the "beach" to get an idea of the water level.

If you wade up the VS trail far enough you will usually find land.

Or giant black floating dildos... either way its worth the trip. Shocked

anybody hit it?

I went for Meadows instead. They had the pond skimming contest today - was all good. They also had a limbo contest - i won that!! I pocketed a $50 gift card to Meadows - so if you see me up there hit me up and I'll buy you a beer (that is until my gift card runs out) Surprised

Glad to see everyone out there today. Was pretty up and down gusty wind, but lotsa people had a good time. I was nicely powered on the 6m from about 12-2 then it came down to 8-9m weather.

Stevenson was blowing pretty good, 11m was a bit overkill...
