I have taken one lesson so far and am going to take another. Would my money be better spent buying a trainer kite or taking 2 lessons instead of one. What you you do. Marc _________________ Don't try to be interesting, be interested |

				| What type of lesson are you talking? Like on a full size kite, body dragging (that water is freezing!), etc., or just another trainer lesson? If it's another trainer lesson, I'd just buy a kite, you'll get a lot more practice that way. If you are talking about playing on a full size kite, then that may be something to consider... Just my $0.02 though. Good luck! |

				| Trainers are fun, but always seem to gather dust after their usefulness (which is rather short). I'd spend the $ on lessons, especially if you can get some downwind boat/PWC support. |

i've taken lessons, drug all over the columbia, have a trainer (and a 3.6m tractionn kite), landboarded downwind. I really want to get in the water on a board. Because of the good pricing, I have been looking at the 05 element 12m as a first full size kite, and was thinking sunset beach would be a good place to earn my wings.

does this sound right?

what wind range/kite size should I look for the coastal winds? (I'm about 140ish, 5'5").

thanks!

do you guys care if there's a first timer (on the water) out there?

ps...great site so far...can't believe it took me this long to find it.

PSS... i heard rumors of snow kiting on the side of st. helens where all the trees got knocked down. anyone know much about this area? are we allowed over there (from the eruption) yet?

thanks in advance! |
