Isla Blanca has been Great! Thanks tons for all of your info Barfly! I owe you a cold one definately.

Getting here was an adventure, long story there. Sunday though was great, 11m wind all day. I even rode Joanne's new 7.5 Cult and a Glide. Pretty impressive low end on that kite...

Today was a lot lighter, 14 T2 and a glide all morning, then it died off about 1:00. Still rideable, but a little downwind every tack.

This place is really great. Cheap diggs and miles of butter. Amazing really. No action shots, but here's a shot from a break. I was the only one riding, so I just left the kite tied up during breaks. Very Happy

About a half an hour north of Cancun. Barfly posted the 411 on this place, so we went in search. I'll post more later, possibly after the rum leaves my system... Very Happy

I was on my way to Isla Holbox, and didn't go to Isla Blanca partly because I heard the mosquitoes were hell. True?

Right after sunset on Monday Joanne had a couple of no-see-um bites; I wasn't bothered at all. I don't think they like the taste of rum... Overall not bad for two days so far. I can't testify as to what it might be like at other times of the year? We haven't heard from anyone of any worse though. There is the Crocodile farm South a quarter mile though! Shocked

Apparently, tequila is as effective as rum as a mosquito repellent! We have some decent pics to post later, but picture the HR spit about 1000 times bigger. Oh, and cheap hotels and food.... ( 50 bucks a night 15 minutes from the launch... or a`place right at the launch...

Today was awesome. Joanne is almost riding, and I was out on the 11 rev having a ball. The 7.5 cult has been a great kite for Joanne to learn on, and a kick in the ass for me to ride too! Pics to come as soon as I can find an Internet cafe...

Edited for Tequila induced stupidity...
