Yeah lets shut off west bound I-84 access past rooster rock. I am tired of the sandbar kooks coming out to the coast. We're running out of room out there....

Can we turn off IWindsurf too? Everyday they tell you exactly where to ride. Crap how dare they!

Oh shit I forgot I got to update the Spots section... Its only got 3 friggin spots!

Don't you get it? Youre bringing the kooks. Tell your friends but dont advertise IN A COMMERCIAL FORUM...
Your arguments are the same given by the DEVELOPERS that are building 100's of spec-homes in my valley, for sale ASAP. Oh wait, you're the f@#ers that are buying them!!!!!..
Thx!
Its just progress, like American Supremacy and global warming.. mmmm

I don't object to people riding at Rufus or anywhere else.
I don't think anyone is really a local anywhere.

The photo essays are definitely bringing a lot of riders to
certain spots. Can't you guys start sharing your photos and
stoke reports in private?

No, it's not going to stop the growth of the sport or the influx
of new riders but why does every weekend session need to
be hyped like that?

-There, that sounds better

Hein,
IS RIGHT-ON

I'm very happy all the juicy shit ends up in his neck of the woods.

AND
Not here .
promote away

But as in my first posts I tried to share some love and have some folks down.
SOME said I was an idiot and Florence IS a shithole.

Okey dokey
works for me.

One of the best descriptions I have read or heard was my Pal
P.J.C. "imagine coral reefs and beautiful sunsets"
Conjures up many fond memories
and way better than some pics of him dangling around.

Commercialism of this site is less than it used to be but still there is a lot of "stoke" (hype) that comes from the pimps and ho's on here.
So with the promotion of commercial interests it will be hard to differentiate between them.
I would say start with no talk of new gear,
it will just bring the desire to use it.
No talk of trips to other places ,
It will just piss off somebody elsewhere
No newbs talkin up the sport in general,
could be confused with pimps.

Does this sound familiar ?
How about the folks who don't want any growth
keep Oregon Just like it was ???WTF
now that we have ours
just plain
FUCK YOU.
I have children probably the age of many of the users on this forum
they may not fall into the group of I have all the money to buy whatever I want .(many people are in this situation)
And if the generation that is in control keeps everything for themselves
in the name of "I want whats best for the next generation"
HOW will the kids get a piece of the"American Dream"
Most preservation IMO excludes the needs of the younger generation.
They need to earn it, but not make it unreachable ,eventually they will rise up against this mentallity and by then they will be the ones in control.
(Then watch the forests disappear)

Passing on wealth from one generaton to the next is going back to FUDELISM.
While I'm sure many think they are kings and queens
they are not.
Equal opportunity is equal for all
If you think living without a house is so great try bringing into your home a homeless person.
I'll bet they are tired of living without a house.(see how "they survive without all the comforts of good breaks")

My family came here in the 1850's wagon trains ,I do have some background.
But I don't own the future or the past and don't claim to know what's right for anyone else.
Life will continue regardless of the views felt by the current temporary
custodians.

How about this, don't tell anybody about nwkite ... its the new secret spot. It’s a hell of a lot harder to find than the spots you guys are all worried about.

The kooks were there long before this site, maybe you just forget? Difference is now you can call them out on a public forum, post a photo of them being a kook, embaress them. Oh wait, they probably don't even read the site.

Anyway its going to happen whether you want it or not, whether I do it or not. So you can either figure out a way to deal with it and use the site to your advantage or you can bitch & moan (man I really gotta create that category ala OregonSurf.) There is no way to stop the internet, so I am trying to strike a balance here. Its effects me too... I'm not an out of towner, I am a Gorge tax payer and I kite at least 4 days a week.

If you have a job in the Gorge that lets you kite even more, then consider yourself lucky. You should be one happy sonofabitch that you aren't stuck in factory in Asia working 12 hour days sewing up a bunch of fabric so some guy in a rich country can have his jollies.

And Double-D - maybe your confused but this isn't a commercial forum, you are not paying for it, there is no paid advertising, I am losing money on this site. Boy I must be a kook.

BTW, did you see how OregonSurf.com have sticky threads with constant surf reports, we could do that for spots in the Gorge! Man the good ideas just keep coming!
