Anyone been checking the winds - looks like HR is averaging 28 and gusting up to like 38. Does anyone know what its supposed to do tomorrow. I could get off of work early - but it would only be worth it if I can kite. Thoughts?

I went, it was crazy. Tested out a 5m Turbo in the kiddie pool for about 20 minutes. I felt good about telling people not to go out on my way in. The kite was pretty cool though and I'll tell you I was skeptical being a Fuel rider exclusively.

That was quite an experience to say the least. Smallest kite I had was a 10m. I think I could have gotten up and planing on a trainer kite. The wind was blowing so hard my legs got a pretty painful sandblasting. Nothing a few skin grafts can't fix I suppose. Hey Spike. My phone was kind of on the fritz so sorry if I missed your call, but you didn't miss out on anything.

I tried with my 6m, too much wind and too gusty. The windsurfer's were having a blast, saw lots of 3.3 to 4.2m sails.

Was it blowing like that again today or did it die down? Anybody know?

It had some spikes into the high 30s. It was blowing hard - but definately gusting!

Sweet 9m session. A few gusts near the beach but sweet big jumping wind downriver. Felt good to get out!

I am NOT ready for the season to be winding down..

LOTs of kiters ripping on 7 and 9s, nice swell in channel, definately less wind, wishing I was out there on my small kite !!

After getting beaten by the wind yesterday I thought, maybe windsurfing's the way to go in the high wind, so I gave it another go, was pretty dialed on a 4.6, but just not into it. I'm 100% kiter now, time to move on and sell my windsurfing gear. I've got quite a collection of fine gear, PM if you know anyone in the market.

I was thinking the same thing! The graph shows we had gusts up over 35, and some of the windsurfers were looking pretty relaxed! It's been a long time for me, it would be a trip!

I want to see the pics of Jim B barefootin in the kiddie pool...what a riot. I guess he's in there enough he knows where the rocks are! Shocked

Good stuff...looks like more through the weekend!
