Not looking forward to having to pack up all my kiting gear for the winter(I know it's only july) but does anybody know of a good snowkiting place in oregon, perhaps not too far east of the cascades...

We've been trying to figure that out for awhile... there are potentially a lot of good spots but not always snow.

Some people ride up at Timberline but from what I hear that can be real sketch.

God damnit Florian! There's not even any snow yet. Stop thinking about snowkiting. Wink Laughing

Just get a drysuit. Shit, Tucker and I were trying to ride all last winter with 4.3s, at least until he got his drysuit fixed. Yay! Another person to ride with in 38 degree water!!!

Broken Top and Tam McCarthur Rim are the best places I have heard near Bend. Otherwise St. Heles area and plateaus around Mt. Adams, as well as Southern Oregn by Crater Lake.

Are you talking about the pummus desert right before you drive up the rim? Does that get any forecastable wind?

I am not sure exactly where, but I have seen photos of a bunch of plateaus and have heard of people who kite there. I am not sure what sensor to watch, but I bet the guys at Southern Oregon Kiteboarding Association know about it.
