My guess based on the forecasts is no, but there's always a chance.

Have some faith....

I made the ultimate sacrifice yesterday in preparation for the Gorge Performance Demo... I went and picked up a 19m Assault.

When I made a similar sacrifice in SPI this April, by having a 16m 2 day shipped in, I only had to pump it up once and then we rode 12's the rest of the week..

19m will be pumped and ready as a sacrifice to the wind gods....

I try to be realistic and then positive... Wink

It is turning north on the lower Columbia while it is SW on the coast and east in the Gorge. What a crazy place we kite in. Which way to go???

Just like I said in a previous post....
Here's what I said as to what I think...As long as the wind is coming from the right direction, there is always hope...
Note: Here some good news, the east winds from the gorge are suppose to change this afternoon (unlike yesterday-the east winds won the battle). If the east winds change to westerlies, then the N-NW winds will start to pick up, especially if it stays cool in the coast (astoria). So the question is, when will the East winds change...? Looks like they are already starting to change, slowly but surely...I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet...
I think Sauvies will blow today, probably not 9meter conditions like last week (that doesn't happen very often). So if your gonna pack, most definetly bring the big kites and or the large boards....
Honestly, I'm more concerned that the winds will probably might be too much westerly...If anything, a great time to drink a cold one and relax with others...
