| My friend the owner of Kingfisher Resort is retiring after years of running it, and he’s looking for the right person or team to lease the property and keep it going. Kingfisher is an established kitesurfing resort in Pagudpud on the northern tip of Luzon. The season runs October through April, and it blows hard: riders use 4 to 7 meter kites, and a 6 is the average. Out front is a right-hand reef break that gets big when the swell is up, with great waves for strapless and wave riders. At high tide, the lagoon inside the reef is a good spot for twin tips and progressing riders. It’s a rare turnkey chance for a kiter, instructor, or hospitality operator to take over a working resort at one of the best and windiest spots in Asia, without building from scratch.
