I am looking for tips to fly international and check my wing foil as checked luggage. My foil is carbon 85cm mast, alu fuselage and carbon front wing and stabilizer. From your experience is it worth taking it, and if yes what packaging I need to do to survive the flight.
Thanks |

I have the manufacturer covers that came with my foils and I just stuff it in a duffle bag. All you need is some basic packing around it. As long as the sharp edges and tips are reasonably well protected they aren’t going to get damaged.
Are you just talking about the foil or also a board? |

No board.
So if I understand correctly you stuff them between clothes and such. But isn't the duffel bag too long for regular check in. Do they charge you for oversize luggage? |
