Lost my board on my first ride at Rooster...what a way to start. Was trying to grab it in huge swell when a barge came into the picture...bye bye board.

Also made the mistake of letting someone with a jetski pull me in without winding up my lines/kite after the wind died on me in the channel at HR. Ripped the 5th line grommets right off the kite. That was stupid!....Thanks Airtime!

lost a frankentein naish 12m boxer in padre two years ago, pulled the wrong release and off she went downwind; cliff stone ran it down for me with his jetski-props again cliff-great guy and kite-maniac!

lost my ss doyle:

once at nitinat last summer; two hour hike to the windward terminus of the lake, and there it was, sitting on the beach with about $10 million in old growth cedar;

once again in obx last fall, sepeerated from it in a fall, cell-number on the board saved me on that one; also in hatteras, loaned my 10m rrd to a dude from sc, he crashed it and blew a hole from le to te-amazingly it still flew back to the beach. (that kite is for sale cheap to someone with good sewing skills-might trade it for a case of beer, actually.

broke my jimmy lewis pickelfork in half 2 summers ago, hit a stump in lyle and cracked my crazyfly 128, lost a '06 12 meter torch to a train in stevensen. canopy of my 05 12m torch blew out during a kiteloop at the sandbar early last year. friend overpumped a windwing rage 10m, lost that leading edge. broke a dakine tabu harness spreader bar last summer. snapped the sheeting lines for my 05 shift system in hatteras last year, broke an inflation valve out on the reef at kahana beach in maui last fall, its amzing how far you can swim once you let your equipmet go.....gotta love airtime!
