Yeah, I consider the railroad to be private property. They are fairly tolerant, if they are not abused (lingering on the tracks, for example). Everybody in the Gorge knows this.
Congratulations!
And Secret Spot is not Mosier. Just saying...

Railroad a private property ? As long as they don't get subsidized with my tax dollar. Otherwise I own a stake in it.
I had no idea that little settlement called Mosier would even have a mayor or city office. It only shows the zero need for it anyway. I never kited there nor have any intention to anyway. I am simply surprised there is an extensive debate about something that's easy to miss on the map.
If crowds lead to closures..... but opening to locals only don't cause crowds.....
is it really wrong to open and limit access to locals only?

Here here. Mosier is in top two of 'worst launch in the gorge'. Leave it to the zipcode forever.

Logical arguments like this are rare.

It's wrong because it is unconstitutional.

good idea. I could really stand to beat up on someone smaller than me in kickball to make me feel about my kite boarding.
And I hate how those stupid kids get to have all to themselves, beautiful parking lots and playgrounds. I'd much rather be there than out on the water.

Anyone know when or if Mosier will reopen. I’m missing my go to spot to avoid the Event Site crowds.

I had previously passed incorrect information. I thought Koberg beach (which is closed) was the same as rock creek park.
Oregon State Parks doesn't list Rock Creek park as either open or closed.
However, I should point out that a previous post of mine shows Wasco County GIS listing Rock Creek Park belonging to Oregon State Parks, not City of Mosier. _________________ Kiting starts at 40MPH

Time to take a page from the Seattle playbook and ORC... Occupy Rock Creek! Who's with me? Mosier mayor's a democrat, right? No worries about the Nat'l Guard then!
