Hey Guys,
Anyone know where I can find rental properties in Hood River? Website or Classifieds? I'm looking to rent a house/condo/apt whatever for July and August. I need a place that has high speed internet access so I can work remotely.

Thanks for the links! I definitely see that things are tremendously expensive during these months. It's either Hood River or Corpus Christi but I don't want to miss the best months of the Gorge! |

Hood River pretty much rips it up in the summer time. I think i got about 100 days in last year between june through september, alright, maybe may through september.
and if hte wind is shitty in HR, just head out to rufus; on the easterlies head to stevenson or RR. can't really be beat, kiting right out my front door, or worst case scenario, i have to drive 45minutes east or west. Last edited by magicmaker on Tue Mar 13, 07 10:20 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Forrest,
You could check out some of the other towns around HR for a better prices. There are alot of cool town very close to HR. You should look at rentals in White Salmon (right across the bridge), Rowena, Lyle, Stevenson. Just another idea. |

if y'all want to pimp your rentals feel free to do it on this thread, its ok, for now...
Maybe we can do a permanent "Friends of nwkite.com" rentals page in the future. |

Buy my Motorhome and you can park it at Rufus for FREE!
RV Trader Online Listing
I'm in it in Padre right now so you could come down here and ride for a while
and then make a killer road trip up the coast in May. |

I've got a 3 bd 2 bath rental in WS with a 10 mile view down the Columbia River from the hot tub. The Hatchery is right smack in the middle of the view, so you don't even need to look online to see if it is windy, just look out any window. I think the weekly rental rate will be somewhere around $1,200. Oh - and it has highspeed wireless internet in case you want to see if its blowing out east. |

Thanks for the unix flash back, J.P.
I just scrapped an old SGI Indigo2
box that cost me over 20K new.
Still love unix though... sed, awk,
grep, vi and all that cool shit. Last edited by Hein on Wed Mar 14, 07 5:16 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Shit, hell, no freaking way did I seel my HR pad! I am doing the long term rental through this summer and winter. Maybe next summer I will get into the high dollar weekly rental market, but for now I have friends in the house with a front room set up with a futon for when I roll back into town for a short visit.
Like Phillip mentioned, its difficult to give up access to your own place during the high season in Hood River.
PS: Ya can take the Bam outta HR, but not the HR outta Bam... |
