Weird story, I can't quite picture myself seeing the shark while kiting in the ocean and then going after it with a line and hook, and then bringing it back to the shore by hand. Hmmm, sounds like a case for a Darwin Award. Confused

Maybe Tucker should try that next time he is at the coast if he brings a fishing pole.

I've heard that sharks will still reflex long after they're dead. Never put your hand near their mouth!
Out here you'd probably get a Great White. You'd snag it & then it'd just pwn you! Very Happy

WTF, really...CNN labels him as a shark attack victim....it borders on insanity for sure. I have absolutely no feelings for the guy. also, the shark let go immediately, even before the guy with the stick came. I really hope they let the shark go, they are an important part of a very sensitive and highly abused ecosystem.

SHarKs 1 - Dipshits 0

Go SHarks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heard a good shark story about some guys shark fishing in the Bahamas they were chumming with chicken parts and lots of pig blood. They caught this monster Hammerhead, should of released it like responsible fishermen, but instead they pump three shotgun bang stick blasts to head of the shark, haul it in there 25' center console boat and continue fishing.

Karma Gods awake the shark from its death slumber and send it on writhing, thrashing, WWF inspired killing spree -the guys jump overboard, the shark knocks the cetner console drive station off the deck and the boat sinks, and guys are stuck to spend night treading water in there own chum.

They were rescued the next morning

Awesome!

I revise my statement:

Sharks: 1

Nice Guys who want to get the hook out of the shark's mouth, but haven't evolved to using tools (think they are called pliers): 0

Growing up in Florida...

I grew up down there and they had yearly 3 day shark hunts to keep the sharks down. They gave $ for different categories like most sharks, longest hammerhead etc. At 5 pm you had to bring them in for counting and weighing to the public marine park where they hung the biggest hamerhead from a crane. So in high school we would go out for 24 hrs and fill the boat with lots of sharks and when the boat was full, start tieing them off the side and drag them in. After counting we would cut them open. We were amazed at the beer can collection and license plates that were in their stomachs. Then we cut out the teeth and made necklaces.

But hey we had a boat. That wasn't as bad as swimming out a mile to spearfish and putting all the catch in a laundry basket tied in an innertube on a 20 ft rope and dragging them in as fast as you could before the sharks started coming around wanting your lobsters or dinner's catch.

But then again, that wasn't as bad as waterskiing or bridge jumping through the aligator and snake infested back waterways of Fla and watching them scamper under your ski when you got near them.

On a brighter note, trying to pet or ride the manitees and turtles was cool.

Note to self - turtle eggs are not edible even after boiling for a long time.
