rufus kicked ass today. Had to wait about 45 minutes for the wind to pick up after we got there about 3:45, but probably rode for almost 2 hours. f'ing killer cold water sesh. loving that new 13.

there were some other people that came out with a pink waroo, but odd shit, they decided to pack up and leave once my buddy and i were out riding. They definately missed out.

Is the current raging yet or was it fairly manageable?

Way to catch it!

I drove to Roosevelt and arrived too late... headed back and waited at Rufus or a while and then got the call that it was blowing at event site/dougs, so I started heading west.

I must have left Rufus just before it filled in because I was watching wind all the way to The Dalles...

and yet by the time I got to Lyle, it was glassy....

oh well. Try again today.

yes, i really lucked out this year. I got the green/black in a 13m and got a blue/black 11m. Cool The new fuels are just the most badass kites ever.

That 13m just ate the gusts alive yesturday. I could not believe how well it dealt with gusty wind just by letting the bar out. I'm wondering who is it that said the slingshot fuel is the 8th wonder of the modern world? I whole heartedly agree. And I love hte fact they can get all that depower into those kites without having to make swept the wingtips like almost every other kite manufacturer has done.

and I definately had to take advantage of the DST change, thanks for the comps on the kite Very Happy Had to take a photo pre-sesh in case i got skunked, then at least the trip to rufus wouldn't have been for naught.
