High temp on Sunday matched the peak wind gust from Maryhill meter at 63 deg/mph.

A few of us hit Arlington / Roosevelt. Not as windy there.

I drove right past Rufus. Much too windy for a self launch... And probably too windy with support. That Windsurfer probably had the river to him/herself.

63 mph wind gusts! Holy BatF*CK, batman--liquid smoke. The Gorge delivering some major goods this time of year, and coming from the west I might add. Usually this time of year it is east winds at Rooster (and 63 mph isn't that uncommon there).

I bet 3 mile was off the hook.

Hey - latest rumor is that windsurfer was a gal. Later after the winds died down a bit there was some kiting that took place as well!

Chalk this one up for all the lady windsurfer/kiters out there. Setting the bar high for us dudes!

Yup.
When a couple brave kiters arrived she (Larua G.) switched from windsurfing to a kite.
