That's a wonderful idea!

Not.

Jobs are short term. Your education and that little piece of paper that says you attained your degree stays with you for life. Trust me on this: you'll want to be able to have a skill that a robot can't perform.

Re-examine your priorities, please. I do some of my best introspection while curled up in the fetal position tripping balls, so maybe a big handful of mushrooms might help...

Degrees are nice and all but when it comes to pursuing a career as a filmmaker I don't think it's make or break.

Now if this film thing doesn't pan out, the degree would be nice to have.

Just remember that tomorrow you will wake up and be 35! Wish I had a degree, but I’m still banging nails just like after college. Judging by your films so far though you probably don’t need a degree for street cred!!

Man, you guys are harsh.
Just because your dreams didn’t happen, you don’t need to shit on others.

Try the movie thing if you are passionate about it. You can always go back to school, it will still be there later.

Go for it kid!

There’s a long, long list of super successful people who didn’t have time to sit through four years of college. Stuff to do, places to go, people to see! (And film).

Good luck,

No defecation at all here. Just heartfelt advice. Take it or leave it.

My degree has enabled my dream: world travel, flexible hours to go slide around on my various board toys, a comfortable home, and sufficient funds to have fun.

Your mileage may vary...

Me too (world travel, flexible hours, comfortable home, sufficient funds to have fun)... but I dropped out of college after 3 months and never looked back.
