I forgot I had my space case on my car and hit a ceiling of a garage. Fortunately I was going slow and so the damage is about 1'' long on a corner. It is a small crack.

Is there some kind of product that bonds together plastic? Any suggestions?

Good old duct tape is working right now.

If itís made out of ABS or a similar polymer, you might have good luck with 2-part epoxy putty. Sand the area to be repaired, mold the putty as needed, let it cure, then decide how pretty you want to make it.

I made a pretty bitchiní repair to the roof vent on a rental caravan down unda after my GF ran it into an awning in a supermarket parking lot. Iíve also used it to patch a punctured automotive fuel tankówith diesel leaking out of it. Itís magic stuff. I never go on a surf/kite trip without some 2-part epoxy putty in my kit.

If epoxy wonít stick to it, and if you can press the crack together so it closes up nicely, look into some Weldon #3. Itís a thin liquid, volatile organic solvent (hold your breath) that will cold weld acrylic & polycarbonate.

I would first contact the manufacturer and find out both what the material is and if they have a recommended glue. Even if they don't have a recommendation for glue, knowing what the material is will be super helpful towards making a repair that lasts.

ABS among others can be welded with a solvent - methylene chloride for example. A little nasty, use organic vapor filter respirator. You can take plastic shavings and make into a putty/paste with solvent, use kinda like epoxy putty.

Or try something like g-flex epoxy, or polyurethane adhesives +/- fiberglass or other fibers...

Thank you all who chimed in with suggestions.

I called Rack Attack in PDX to see what they had to say on the matter.

They suggested and use the following:

Purchase a QP 3x6 bulls eye repair strip

https://www.amazon.com/Bullseye-Products-QP3X6-Quick-Repair/dp/B01BXX2O8S

Place strip on one side of the crack of spacecase shell and apply epoxy on the other side within the cracks to fill.

I'll take some pics and post when I get around to fixing it.
