I'm going to be taking some time off to hang come back to the PNW for the holidays and into January. Figured I'd check in with the old crew in case anyone wants to get some snow or surf shredding in.

The past few months have been slow for waves in New England, and I keep drooling over things like this on the NW cams.

That looks cold as hell!! Been 7 years since I surfed cold water and I fear I may have become soft!! Here on kauai the temps have been down into the low 60’s during the night. Apparently Hawai’i will get more northernly fronts coming down within 500 miles of the islands. This is characteristic of a La Niña year and also corresponds with more rain and wind for the northwest. I remember I lived in seaside in 2007 when the huge wind storm knocked down all the trees and power was out for like 4 days. I believe that was a La Niña year as well. Hope you get some on your holiday!!

Mixed up waves today at Delray to Sunset but the wind was steady 10m and the sun almost came out. Wetsuit and booties but no gloves. Pretty warm really

Shoots! Gettin chilly. I saw 57 once up pali lookout in nu'uanu. Had to start wearing my 2mm top! Hope you pull through, man! I ended up going from surfing Hawaii to winter surfing in New England. Oregon sounds like a happy medium right now.

Good looking swell and light offshores Thusday and Friday, good luck Tucker! I'm getting into town on Sunday, so I won't get this one. I'll be around for a little while, so I'll hit you up if it looks good again!

I knew there would be a few people left lurking. At least I can go hang out with Nak's old friend out the back in Lincoln City!

Hey Gene! I'm actually moving to the DC area very very soon, and have some friends around VA Beach. I fully intend on heading down that way while I'm down there. We'll have to get a session at first landing sometime.

Late drop! Looks like you guys have had some truly epic conditions lately. Kai's Nelscott barrel was INSANE!
Just checked out Jon's instagram. Awesome.
New England was great during hurricane season, but lately it's been flat with a side of pancakes for a while now. Super stoked to try and score some good thick PNW waves and some good thick PNW pow!

Well overhead and hollow c/o Maria.

Yep, most of the old crew still checks in on here. Not a huge fan of the song below, but the title sure matches you post title.

Have fun on the slopes and slabs of the PNW--post some pics.
