I used to ride the cable lake in south Texas nearly everyday for about a year. These things are sick and it would be awesome if Portland had one.

The funnest thing is edging outside of the pulleys in the corner, and trying to make it on your own speed around the next pulley so the rope gets tight again. I swear you can get going like 50 mph.

Financially a cable park does not make sense in PDX. You would be playing to a small core audience in the winter which probably wouldn't come close to covering your overhead.

I've ridden the cable park in Orlando and its sick!

Some guys put together a business plan for an indoor cable in Utah, but it never got off the ground.

maybe but there are 60 in germany alone. there are none on the west coast.

if i had $50,000 i'd build it for the hell of it.

indoor cable park in downtown pdx would be sweet... I'd hit it everyday at lunch, and I'd bet you'd get tons of other folks too.
