Any landboarders out there? What board do you ride? Where do you ride?

I'm tired of trying to find places to snowkite, it's not going to happen. Also, the water is to cold and rough, so at least I can get some landboarding in at Sunset or Canon Beach.

I have an MBS, I ride out at sunset on any direction wind.... low tide is best, but you can cruise out in the water a little when it's coming in/going out... .good times! just don't run over the buggy dudes!

also, Manzanita isn't bad at low tide.
My MBS is wood, but I was thinking of making a carbon version of it and shedding a lot of the weight.

the old mbs boards were fiberglass sandwiches, at least the one I used to own. I think they went with the wood cores to save on costs now, but the deck isn't what makes them so heavy, so if you make the rims carbon fiber plus the trucks and other hardware then you'll really start to kill the weight issue.

MBS, so far north beach Newport in East wind (which seems to follow the bay channel). I need to stop going on east wind tho cuz I can't find any good spots anywhere else (there's mountains or dunes in the way)! I tried Pac. city on an East wind - that was terrible cuz the dunes AND I got a ticket $240 looking for new spots further north! Mad

The waves were blowing backwards, but no wind smooth wind on the beach. East wind sux!

No, I was looking for places with wind and I failed to obey that stop sign just north of Cape Kawanda (where they always sit) in all my excitement. Kind of put a damper on the day, along w/ lack o' wind, but we had something to talk about!
