Shocked

does that spread all the way over to the Event Site? it is going to piss off a lot of slalom windsurfers who sail there.

thanks very much for the shot. really brings things into perspective now.

Yep, the sand has moved into the Event Site and it's close to covering 1/2, as you can see.

It must also be pointed out that the Corp of Engineers have had the water it's lowest level for the past week or so, to allow for the hydrologists to properly inspect and evaluate that the Sandbar.

So, this water level is probably a bit lower that what we see a the end of the Summer season water levels.

Things could definitely still change. When the water is high, about 80-90% of this existing sandbar is actually underwater.
Spring runoff is still around the corner.

Please keep these facts in mind when viewing these and other sandbar images .

Thanks
Pepi

The new sandbar is nothing but a HUGE improvement! How many times have we all been out there laying out lines frantically on a super busy weekend with not enough room. Its a God sent! It's a real shame for the wind skippers though... Razz Laughing Rolling Eyes Just another dying sport!
