Hey, whats the beach/launch like where you guys ride in Washougal? I need to talk my girl into getting in the cold water..

MAgic-water is fine if you have at least a 5-4, hood, and thick booties and gloves....I have a 6-5-4...but yeah, it will def. be gusty at Rooster, but isn't it always. Confused but, we could get nuked-out....then>airport or washougal..

ponds would be nice, but I think its raining out there..
could we get a wake-up post from the crew in Astoria/coast area?? Razz?

The boss says we can go home early(2:30)
-I leave thinking...(more drinking time before I go out)
-then my roomate says, "lets go to rooster"
-I reply, "oh yeah"
-I get home and roomate says, "I can't go gotta go to DEQ."
Well shit, now kiting is on my mind, so, screw it I'm going. So, I pack the gear ready for a gusty, shady, but get-my-fix-in, sunset session(3:30)
So, I check the sensors(looks gnarly, but do-able)
Throw the gear in the car and I'm off..
Get to Rooster to find no-one.. so, walk around for a bit with wind meter......reads 14-26mph...
okay, maybe self-launch....
As I go to the car, dude comes up..."are you going out'"?
-dude is windsurfer and says he will launch me.
Nice....
Rig-up and waiting....
Pole-boarders take longer to rig, so I am just waiting, on the beach, rigged, suited, and ready.
He finally shows up to launch me..
As I walk to my bar with board in hand I realize somethings different...
NO HARNESS!!!, jesus I am a dumb-ass..
well, long story short, I set the record for fastest de-rigging and go to the car only to watch dude have it all to himself..

So, who's got a better story than that?

Oh well, I will redeem myself tomm.

here are some pics of the launch.

No love - you must redeem yourself - thinking of an AM session if anyone is interested.

Tucker's talking to some peeps, then we're gonna head out. Ponds? Radar looks clear for rain on the central to northern coast, but overcast...
