River swell is not a wave. Go try some kites in the conditions you like to kite in . _________________ Slingshot | Ride Engine |Try before you buy | PM me

The alpha shredder wave sailors at a certain anonymous beachbreak that I frequent all ride Rallys, except for the ones that ride RPMs.
Real breaking waves, downwind & down-the-line, in saltwater. |

West is right, if you want to "whistle a tune while riding a wave get a goddamn surfboard... and West lived and rode in Maui when most of you were on your mothers tit. |

Sun Oct 02, 16 9:37 am Secret agents input to wave kitting joke; |
|
|
;;;;;;;;;;;;;Only one time in my life i saw a truly dedicated surfer using a kite;
he would just body drag out with the board sit in the line up and wait for a wave;
when the wave came to him he would turn around and go;
>>>>>>> now that made me think;
just use the kite to help you paddle out;
and catch the wave like a normal surfer;
Deal is all these pros ride so over powered they need all this drift; and use a huge depower thro; it looks so goofy; they do not unhook anymore style change so fast;
if you drop into the wave like a surfer; all the lines change and you can ride much deeper in the pocket;
companies will hype anything if it makes sales;
secret agent says rig smaller!!! _________________ -know as the SECRET AGENT- |

west wrote: | ...delayed bottom turns, low bar pressure, great drift.....bunch of mumbo jumbo. The problem with a dedicated wave kite is the Kiter. Most riders kiting in the surf, try to act like they're surfing; you're kitesurfing by God, ride like it. Go w speed and aggression..if you want to surf, get rid of the kite and paddle out! Kitesurfing should be wavesailing magnified, instead it's turned into "restricted surfing", turtling on down the line whistling a tune...
I say try a reo, I mean SST; oh hell I forgot who sponsors me now; but whatever I'm riding, try that!! |
We just call it dingle dangling,
(the turtling)
I like turtling even better, it is just wiggling your ass while whistling a tune
try sending sending the kite every time you turn
KITING in waves!!!!!!!
not just wiggle ass off |

From watching the pros;
.......they all do their own rigging; normally to make it impossible for anyone to use thier kite;
What they do is like a centered stick on R/C helicopters
So if they pull the bar all the way down the kite flys backwards;
Back stalling to another extreme; I guess this helps them body drag after the board;
Which their body drag skills are crazy high; _________________ -know as the SECRET AGENT- |
