Hey all, I'm from the Florida keys and do a lot of riding! I came up to Hood river for the summer and noticed that the level of riding I've been seeing at the event site, hatchery, rufus etc.. is maybe sub par at best to what I'm used to! wonder why that could be, anyone have any insight?

Creaturebone ,

I suspect you are troll , bored at work on this Monday morning?

Many of the world's top foilers , strapless kite surfers and wakestyle riders are in the Gorge killing it this summer.

Hey Troll, you can't see all the sweet riders when you're probably body dragging for your board all the time. The gorge is a melting pot and you're going to have more beginners and newbies vs pros etc etc. The pros are out there. . .

If you don't like what you couldn't see, please do yourself a favor, and the rest of us as well, and please stay down in the Keys to enjoy your warm azure flat water and your "cheese burger in paradise."

As you have probably experienced in your short time here this season - the Gorge winds can be ballistic and gusty. What can take me one week to learn in the steady gentle breezes of La Vantana takes a whole season in the Gorge.

I suspect you are using freestyle as a measuring stick. But I feel the Gorge is more of a freeride spot due to a variety of factors (water conditions, wind conditions, demographics of the riders, etc.)

Very Happy Funny Thread...

Someone's board and looking for entertainment....

You know it is kiteable at Rufus and Dougs right now... Just in case you would rather be kiting than stiring the pot...

yeah you missed the highest level of riding taking place at stevenson about 10 days ago LOL
you had the reigning kite tour champions as well as dozens of pro riders not to mention the dozens of groms and women who competed at the bridge of the gods. was a great event! pretty sure the slider jam is happening right now maybe go check that out at the spit.
