I helped someone in that location with a cabrinha kite who had the chix loop open and couldn't close it, not sure that was you, didn't catch a name.
Anyhow if it wasn't me I hope you find the hero.
If it was me...no problem happy to lend a hand.

Maybe this will help someone having the same problem reassembling chicken loop. Try hooking the loop of rope above your chicken loop release onto your spreader - this will give you a sort of functioning depower so you can kite into shore, shallow water or somewhere else to fiddle with reassembling the chicken loop - this is dangerous because you'll have disabled a way to eject your kite but in some situations you may consider that the lesser evil
