Hey Everyone,

We've had some people reach out about having a safety clinic / talk with the local community to help more people be more comfortable out on the water. We have an opportunity for it this Saturday.

There will a 45-minute powerpoint presentation / discussion at the Event Site at 8pm.

Our plan is to set up a projector and screen on the east facing wall of the Event Site bathroom and start the slide show as soon as its dark enough. This will be free, but informal, so please bring your own chair, blanket, beer, snacks etc...

thanks,
Mike D

burton beat me to it.

I'd like to know also specific safety measures for kiting in the gorge. I think it would benefit alot of out of town kiters visiting the magnificent Columbia gorge.

My biggest issue when hitting lower elevations is proper kite sizing among other hazards we don't typically see here in Montana or elsewhere. Its not uncommon to ride a 7 or 9m in 40-50mph winds here but I know from experience that it would NEVER ever work at sea level.

A video stream or youtube would be awesome for visitors!
