Met up at Shipwreck Sunday to see Megler showing gusts to 75 . So we wait it out a bit, watched a little Hill Billy truck action then head down to Delray as the south sensors were showing a little lighter conditions.
We set up by the road as the entire beach is covered with foamy wash. As I got caught in a squall Saturday on my 9.5 I decided to play it safe and rig my 5 . I grab my strapless Vanguard and take to the angry sea. Kevin and Aaron set up 6s and being much wiser go with twins.
Knowing the chaos about to go down I asked a random car if they would text me pictures.
Here's what I got. I wish I would have had a go pro to film Kevin grind a double up wave created when the surf hit the dune so hard a return wave formed and crashed in to the incoming surf. That was sick!!!
