My harness broke today on the Washington side of Rufus. I had trouble making it back to the Oregon side with my self-rescued kite due to the waves.
Someone kindly took my board back.
Finally I let the kite go and took a shuttle back to the Oregon side with Mighty Mouse kiter. She was on a 5.5 kite and strapless board. Amazing how she moved that kite and got me back to the beach in no time while I was hanging on to her harness.
My kite landed safely in a cove on the Washington side where I picked it up. No damage whatsoever.

Yeah, MIGHTY MOUSE is pretty amazing all right. She dragged me home once about twenty years ago and I am still hanging on to her harness.
