what are some dimensions of your favorite light wind boards?
I'm getting ready to lay one up, but I want it to fit in a golf bag, so I need to watch the length. |

My slingy SX151 just barely fits in my NSI golf bag. I think tthe dimensions on that board are the absolute biggest you could fit in that bag. If you're interested, I can measure it later and post the dimensions. (Although you can probably get them off the Slingshot website too.)

I have a Nobile 666 135x44 and this board is great. Not so wide that you don't want to ride toeside, but wide enough to work great as a light wind board. I just got back from a trip to La Ventana and we had some light days and the 666 performed perfectly.

Is there something you are using as a reference text for board building? Or do you just have some experience? I'd like to save a few hunnie and throw a light wind board down myself. |

Building a simple lightwind board really doesn't take much. No rocker or fins needed really so you just cut out the rectangle and round the edges a bit.
You could get some of those sticky mounting plates that Hein makes for NSI, then you don't even need to drill holes in the board. |

just a little experience... i'm nowhere near as good as Hein, and still would like to break down and buy one of his boards one of these days. |
