I'm planning to kite at Stevenson today at 1pm. Looks pretty nice, even a bit of sun! Any other crazy's want to join?

He's off! Nice self-launch. Get it! Thumb's Up

Sweet! Thanks for the nice photo ldhr.

Here's my only other photo from today, racing the Amtrak on the way home.

I thought that was a kayak in the picture. I see now that your kneeling on a SUP with the shredded kite on the bow!

Nice work getting it back. Yeah, seems that kites don't last long when hung up on anything. Never did find out what happened to my kite. Guess you'd have mentioned it if you saw its carcass on your SUP tour.

Yeah - I was keeping an eye out for any and all kites. I had your story in mind the whole time I was drifting around in the cold water. I was pretty lucky to find mine - if you call a shredded kite lucky. You would think it would be easy to find a big ole kite - but mine was a half submerged, torn up little ball. I just happened to be looking at the right spot at the right time.

Perhaps I just didn't search the rocks closely enough. Also, I think it was averaging 25mph during my search, so I didn't really scan any piece of shore more than once.

See you out there! A few more pictures...

Yeah - I searched those rocks a lot that you circled on your map. I found my kite on the last rock of the group. Here is a pic of me resting in those rocks - there are lots of nooks and crannies out there. See ya out there on the water! Smile
