Nothing like hanging out with the Dog out in the country where it is smokin' and sipping on some Gin and Juice!

I think I'm even more impressed by the fact that the nuking easterlies at Rooster have lasted 9 full days (so far).

Yeah, the Northern strip readings look perfect 9m right now with little to no variation on the gusts. But this afternoon is forecasted to be nukey! 35kt with gusts in the 50kt + range. Blown out. . . kinda like the next morning after eating at a Swagat restaurant all you eat Indian food buffet the previous afternoon.
Sat and Sun are calling for mostly west wind. I've never done/ridden Siletz Bay just South of Lincoln City, but if I recall correctly the bay can be ridden in SW to west wind before. The drive from PDX and riding flat water doesn't get me motivated enough to go--mowing the lawn to me.

If I read the chart correctly, high tide is right around noon on Sat and Sun a bit later which should make for some ideal bay riding (with west wind); especially when the tide starts to ebb and one will have opposing forces to maximize their power (tide heading east to west and wind heading from west to east). Always be careful of the river mouth tides and going out to sea.

Here are a couple of posts on the subject/bay. If you want to research it more just type "siletz" in the Search function on the topic of this site and you will find dozens of posts. From what I have read some say any wind works there.
And someone with experience, chime in please?!
